Plastic filter cages can be equipped with so-called metal Venturi nozzles. This solution is widely used in industrial equipment. In dry air dust collectors, Venturi nozzles generate a secondary, increased airflow.

The operating principle of the Venturi nozzle is as follows: if a constriction appears in a part of the channel where the gas mixture moves at a certain speed, the flow velocity will increase.

A Venturi nozzle is an economical solution that increases the efficiency of the dust collector itself. It also allows for a reduction in the amount of air required to clean the filter bags by enhancing the pulse cleaning effect. Compressed air is typically the most expensive (energy-intensive) component in the operation of a dust collection system.

Venturi nozzles installed on plastic filter cages are particularly applicable in the case of long filter bags. Without a Venturi nozzle, the volume of cleaning air may be insufficient relative to the number of filter bags that need to be cleaned.
