Features of our filter cages

Our dust collector filter cages

We offer you filter cages intended for industrial dust collection systems, made of plastics: Polypropylene (PP) and reinforced Polyamide (PA). Such cages exhibit high temperature resistance and resistance to aggressive chemical environments prevalent in a given dust collector filter.

Polypropylene (PP)

Polypropylene (PP) is a material with an excellent resistance to most chemicals, including acids and alkalines. Polypropylene is characterized by low friction and low density, which makes it relatively light and soft.

Polyamide (PA)

Polyamide (PA) is characterized by exceptional mechanical strength, resistance to high temperatures, and abrasion. Polyamide has excellent vibration damping properties and is resistant to oils, greases, fuels, and aggressive chemical substances. Cages of this type are used in cement plants and alternative fuel (RDF) dosing installations

Our offer

Polypropylene (PP) filter cages:

Polypropylene filter cages are used in dust extraction systems where hot materials are not present. They are indispensable in recycling, transport, and RDF installations, proving their efficiency in the processing and shredding of various raw materials.

Polyamid (PA) reinforced filter cages:

Polyamide filter cages are robust constructions resistant to high temperatures and frequent cleaning. Their exceptional mechanical strength ensures full stability during significant pressure surges inside an operating dust collector.

Venturi Nozzles - Top lid of the Support Cage:

Metal Venturi nozzles on plastic cages increase dust collector efficiency by enhancing the cleaning pulse. They reduce compressed air consumption and are crucial for the effective regeneration of long filter bags.

Filter bags:

Since we strive to provide the most comprehensive offer, we provide filter bags made from a wide range of production materials, tailored to our customers' specific needs.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions:

Which industrial processes can plastic cages be used for?

Depending on the material of manufacture, support cages can be used in many industrial sectors.

Polypropylene (PP) cages are used in the wood industry, furniture and carpentry industry, in glass and ceramics production, in chemical and pharmaceutical industries, in pulp industry for paper production, in food industry, in agriculture, in  production and granulation of fertilizers, and in maintenance and production companies dealing with polishing and grinding.

Polyamide (PA) cages are structurally very strong and  exhibit high resistance to high temperatures. They are used in: cement production industry, in production of building materials, in road construction, mining,  aggregate sector, in lime and gypsum industry, in food industry and agriculture, in the production and granulation of fertilizers, during recycling, in alternative fuel (RDF) dosing installations, in energy and coal industry, in glass and ceramics production, in metallurgy, metalworking, and foundry.

The modular construction applies to both types of support cages we offer, however, there are some differences. In both cases, a single cage segment consists of two elements that are joined together using locks. The assembly pins and holes of ten are very well matched. Therefore, the assembly of even long support cages takes a very short time. Specialist tools are also not required. If you attempt to dismantle the already assembled elements of a cage segment, there is a risk of damage.

Polypropylene (PP) cages are installed by inserting single cage segments into the bag.

Polyamide (PA) cages  are characterized by the structure that allows a rigid connection of single cage segments, ensuring greater rigidity. Thanks to this, any cage length can be achieved, creating a compact, rigid element that holds the bag in the correct position. Additionally, Polyamide (PA) cages can be closed at the bottom using a specially designed lid.

Polypropylene (PP) Cages – moderate resistance

Polyamide (PA) Cages – very high resistance

Polypropylene (PP) Cages

  • continuous resistance <100 °C
  • momentary resistance ~130 °C

Polyamide (PA) Cages

  • continuous resistance ~200 °C
  • momentary resistance ~220 °C

Polypropylene (PP) Cages:

resistance to mineral acids: very good,

resistance to organic acids: good,

resistance to alkalines and lye substances: very good, resistance to oxidizing agents: very good, resistance to organic solvents: good, resistance to biological substances: good

Polyamide (PA) Cages: resistance to mineral acids: good, resistance to organic acids: very good, resistance to alkalines and lye substances: very good, resistance to oxidizing agents: good, resistance to organic solvents: good, resistance to biological substances: very good

Plastic support cages can be equipped with a metal Venturi nozzle. This solution is often used in industrial equipment. In dry air dust collectors, Venturi nozzles create a secondary, increased airflow. The principle of operation of the Venturi nozzle is as follows: if a constriction appears at a certain point in the duct where the gas mixture moves at a specific speed, the flow speed will increase. The Venturi nozzle is an economical solution that increases the efficiency of the dust collector itself and allows reduction in the amount of air needed to clean the filter bags, enhancing the effect of pulse cleaning. Compressed air is usually the most costly (energy-intensive) element in the operation of a dust collection system. Venturi nozzles installed on support cages made of plastics are particularly applicable for long filter bags. Without a Venturi nozzle, the volume of cleaning air may be insufficient in relation to the number of filter bags that need cleaning.

Support cages made of plastics mean huge savings for you. Plastic cages are significantly cheaper than traditional metal solutions. Furthermore, the dismantled filter bag can be disposed of together with the support cage, which significantly lowers the operating costs of the entire dust collection installation.

As we strive to make our offer as complex as possible for you, we offer the supply of filter bags made of any material, tailored to the needs of our Clients.

CAGES FIT FILTER BAGS WITH A DIAMETER OF 150-160 mm

(NOTE! CHECK REQUIRED MEASUREMENTS BEFORE ASSEMBLY)

Dust collector filter cages (despite the fact that they are made of plastics) are a very ecological product.

The materials used for their production are very easy to recycle. In fact, the dismantled and used filter bag with the cages can be entirely recycled and reused. Ecology contributes to the growing popularity of this product on the market. And the industrial sector can care for our planet’s natural resources.
